SARMs Legal Status in the Netherlands (2025 Guide)
In the Netherlands, SARMs (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators) are currently not classified as controlled substances. However, they are considered unauthorised medicines if marketed for human consumption under the Dutch Medicines Act (Geneesmiddelenwet).
Selling or advertising SARMs for personal use, bodybuilding, or supplementation is illegal. However, it is legal to buy and sell SARMs for research purposes, provided they are labelled “not for human consumption.”
