In Sri Lanka, SARMs (Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators) are regulated as unauthorised medicinal products under the authority of the National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA). It is illegal to market, sell, or possess SARMs for human consumption without explicit approval or licensing.

Although SARMs are not classified as controlled substances in Sri Lanka, any product intended for performance enhancement or therapeutic use requires regulatory approval. SARMs can be legally acquired for laboratory research purposes only when clearly labelled “not for human consumption.”
